Homemade Face Masks for Normal Skin

If you are one of the few people who are blessed with normal skin, you are lucky because you do not have to be wary about beauty products making your face dry or oily. If you have normal skin, you can play around homemade face masks that you can create on your own at home. The ingredients for the mask are not complicated and can be bought anywhere.

Here are some yummy homemade facial masks that you can be your daily habit:

Avocado and Carrot Homemade Face Mask

This mask can help your skin moisturize and clean out your pores. You need ½ ripe avocado, a carrot and 1 tbsp. of olive oil. You need to cook the carrot a little bit so it is soft when applied on your skin. Blend the cooked carrot with avocado and olive oil. Apply on your face and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Banana and Yogurt  Homemade Face Mask

For this mask, you need half a banana, two tablespoons of yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of honey. Using a fork, mash the banana then mix in the honey and yogurt. Apply on your face for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Cornmeal Homemade Face Mask

You will need cornmeal and water to create this mask. Add the cornmeal with water until your reach a paste-like consistency. Apply to your face using circular motions. Allow to dry then rinse.

Oatmeal and Fruits Homemade Face Mask

Think fruit salad when making this homemade facial mask. You will need ¼ cup peaches (cooked), 2 pieces of strawberries, ¼ cup masked papaya and a teaspoon of honey. You also need instant oatmeal to make the mixture reach its paste-like texture. Blend all the ingredients together then apply the mask to your face. Leave for 10 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.

Cucumber Homemade Face Mask

Cucumber is great for the eyes but it can also be used as mask. Get a tablespoon of unsalted butter and a thin slice of cucumber. Chop and mash the cucumber then mix well with the butter. Apply to your face for 10 minutes then rinse.

Strawberry Butter Homemade Face Mask

This is another version to the usual strawberry mask. Get a large mashed up strawberry and add unsalted and softened butter. Beat the two ingredients well apply to your face. Leave for 10 minutes then rinse with water.

Clay Homemade Face Mask

Pick any of your favourite earth clay from your local health store and a teaspoon of honey, milk and drops of essential oil of your choice. Mix 2 parts of milk to 1 part of clay then add the honey. If you want the mask to be thick, add less milk. Add your favourite essential oil for a nice and relaxing smell. Recommended scents are floral and citrus. Mix all the ingredients well and apply the mask to your face. Leave the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
